Mouse pads are getting rarer by the day as more and more people move toward using optical mice. The only ones who still use mouse pads are those who are stuck with standard trackball mice as well as hardcore gamers who work within a precise environment.

Lindy has come up with a mouse pad which actually requires an external power source like a USB port or an AC outlet. The reason behind this is because this Illuminated Mouse Pad comes with an LED strip that will light up when powered, making it look like a runway that goes round and round in the middle of the night.

The £14.99 mouse pad also comes with the added bonus of an additional four USB 2.0 ports to further expand the connectivity of your rig. It might be much more expensive than your regular sponge mouse pad, but at least the added functionality is nothing you can sneeze at.
