Hitachi's new ultra-flat LCD screens

When it comes to TVs and all that, you could say that I am still living in the stone ages for I am still the proud owner of an ancient and bulky 'box' television. I have resisted the urge to buy a plasma and LCD despite the price drops over the years because I simply don't spend enough time in front of the TV to justify buying one.
Plus my ancient TV still works beautifully so why bother, right?
However, when I came across this new range of super duper ultra-flat LCD screens by Hitachi I have got to say that I would fancy one of these in my living room even if I just look at it and not 'watch' it.
The new Hitachi UT series comes in three sizes - the 32-inch UT32MH70; 37-inch UT37MX70 and 42-inch UT42MX70 - and they all have ultra-thin 35mm profiles and weigh a minimum of 10.9kg.
Yes, 35 MILLIMETRES!!
This is paper thin stuff! The UT series also boasts IPS LCD technology which provides superior brightness, contrast and colour. The 32-inch UT32MH70 is set to hit European electronics stores in April with the 37-inch UT37MX70 and 42-inch UT42MX70 set to arrive in May and June respectively.
Expect Australian availability soon after and also expect to pay with a 35mm high stash of $100 too!
