The folding universal scale
April 21st 2008 08:30
If you've been out shopping for some scales lately, you'll find that there isn't much variation at all. The analogue scales are deemed too old school these days so all you'll find are ones with digital read outs and while some have funky glass designs, they're still hardly inspirational at all but why the complaints I hear you say? Afterall, if it gives you an accurate reading of your weight then it has done its job, right?
True. But only to a certain extent because there's ways a scale can do its job even better. For one, it seems that most flat scales for home use are only catered for those that can stand on them. And let's say you've given your home a recent makeover and your new bathroom is as chic as they come - designer taps, shower heads, toilet etc. - but lurking in the corner, is a plain white scale that completely ruins all the chic-ness.
Well, there is now a solution in the form of a very funky and foldable universal scale by designer Shu-Hung Yeh. The Universal scale unfolds into all shapes/sizes (as you can see in these pictures) to make weighing an absolutely breeze for people of all sizes and abilities/disabilities plus it certainly matches that chic decor!
