In the world of Formula One motor racing, accuracy and precision is the key - this is a sport where a difference of one degree on the angle of the rear wing could cause enough aerodynamic instability to cost the driver a tenth of a second per lap and ultimately the race victory.
The F1/Carbon GMT concept watch featuring a carbon fibre body clearly is inspired by this accuracy and precision. This expensive and lightweight material is combined with Swarovski crystals and various pieces of rubber and metal to make up the timepiece and also features 18 identical rubies that tells the time in all 18 cities on the 2008 F1 circuit.
Shaped with contours depicting the grooves like that of a F1 tyre, the watch isn't all form over function with its built in lap timer function and a stopwatch. [yankodesign.com]
