Bentley and Ego laptop
July 23rd 2008 23:05
As a car and gear lover, few things excite me more than a flashy sportscar (Lamborghini) and the latest hi-tech gadget (computers) - aside from a naked Megan Fox.
And it seems like this exotic car plus computer combination not only works for me, but also for plenty of like-minded individuals out there because why else would brands like Ferrari and Acer; Lamborghini and Asus launch continue to model after model of their co-branded range of laptops/notebooks? There's plenty of moolah to be made, of course.
The latest car maker to 'cross-over' is prestige marque Bentley. Teaming up with Ego Computers, the new Bentley laptop is shaped like a clamshell - Ego's trademark shape - and features rich leather (the same kind that is used to make the posh leather seats in a Continental GT) and hand-sewn using the cross stitching technique.
With a pricetag of £10,000 (or $AU20,000), this is the most expensive laptop you'll ever find - or until Rolls Royce unveils their range of computers. [T3.com]
